Thai market

Here are some pictures from our trip to the market closest to our house. Lots of yummy things. Not much is new here. We're trying to buy bikes this week. Doing lots of lesson planning. Both of our classes today were very successful. Talk to you all soon!

Pigs head.

Really fresh catfish.

They've got such good fried chicken everywhere. The kids though still all prefer the KFC in the mall.

One of many fried dough dishes.

Veggies and herbs. They really like basil here.

Fresh frogs and seafood. We haven't tried the frogs yet.

Everything you could want fried on a stick. I really like the tofu cubes.

This is very typical. You also see children under 7 driving a lot and usually there is more than two people on a motorbike. It puts all the worry about car seats in a different light..

Hey guys! I have been keeping up with your blog and loving and learning from all of your adventures...you two are so lucky to be experiencing this culture first hand. I think the market is where I would hang out all the time - I bet the "smells" are just as interesting as the visuals...all is good here in C'dale. Justin, your Mom and Dad are enjoying and are comforted by this blog and seeing you two "in action"on a regular basis - they are both so proud of both of you! Keep up the great stories of your adventures and take care of each other. Keep singing...I highly recommend "I Will Survive" - it is a crowd pleaser - tee hee! -Melanie
