Just a quick post to let you know about our schedules and visitors. I ended up with the much better schedule which is sad for Justin. Im teaching 4 hours at a high school in Surat pretty close to wear we live. It's a new contract and it's just me at the school. I teach two hours in the morning on Tuesday and Thursday. The students are really sweet and they give me the most pimped out room, although it doesn't have a white board or a chalk board. Instead it has a computer with a projector that I use. I also teach the Thai staff at the Kindergarten and at Mathus 3 hours a week.
Justin had to go back to Surat Thani 2 unfortunately. He is teaching a 8th grade and 6th grade class. He teaches 10 hours a week similar to our schedule first term. However, all the hours are in the afternoon which is happy.
In other news, JJ (a high school friend) and his girlfriend Elaine are visiting us for a little bit. JJ was teaching in Japan and is now touring around Southeast Asia. They borrowed our motorcycle and are driving to Khoa Sok. I think we're all going to go to Khanom together next weekend.
The REALLY big news is that JJ's girlfriend is a massage therapist and she worked on Justin's shoulder and gave him some stretches to do. Yesterday he had his first full day of teaching without shoulder pain since he started teaching!! I hope it continues!
Warm wishes to all!

Hi Justin and Aleza:
Great to see your new blog! We've been wondering about your new schedules. Will these be your final schedules till September? Justin, we hope that, even tho you're back at Surat 2, your classes are with kids that are more interested in learning that you had the last time. Nice that you got all afternoon classes. Do you still teach at Mathus after school? And it is very good news that JJ's girl friend's massage has helped your shoulder feel better. That would seem to indicate that the problem is more muscle/ligament related rather than skeletal. We also hope that the exercises will help keep your shoulder limber. We are going out to dinner tonight with Jill and Paul at Tres Hombres (a little change from our usual dinners at Thai Taste!). We took Larry and Pam out on our newly fixed-up pontoon boat on Sunday, then dropped them off and picked up Jess and Julia. Very nice day on the lake. Mom went to a wedding shower for Jenny Leening last night. She's getting married in July in Carbondale, but still living in North Carolina. Also found out that Tracy Leenig is pregnant and due on Christmas Eve! So it'll be Grandpa Larry by the end of the year. We finished the one business book and I'm hard at work on the green business one. It's taking me longer that I thought. I don't think Bill Bryson will have anything to worry about with this one, but I do think that there is no other book quite like it available. I'll be very glad when I'm done with it, tho. Anyhow, sounds like things for your last few months are off to a good start. And very nice to have some friends visit! We love you and miss you, Dad and Mom
Hi Again! Just a quick note to say that we'll try and call you on Sunday or Monday and catch up with what you have been doing. I know you're going to Khanom this weekend with JJ and his girl friend, so maybe we'll wait till Monday. Have a great weekend!
hey guys! sounds like things are going well with you two :) can't wait to hear the latest news! so, i need some help with something and since i think only you check this usually, aleza, could you pass this on to justin for me? i'm trying to figure out how to burn dvds from my computer onto writable dvd discs. i talked to justin when we were there a little bit and he told me to get "toast" but i can't figure out how to find it for free on the internet. if he could send me a link or something, or tell me how to do this (easily, if possible!) i'd really appreciate it. my external drives are all packed full!! anyway, i hope you are enjoying your new schedules, or as much as possible, anyways! love to you both :) -jess
Aidan Says(!) (present tense)
You think your the first one to put those exclamation marks inside parentheses(?)(!) That's been all the rave over here for like, 5 months. Everyone is doing it. Well, maybe just 75 (%) of people are doing it. There's still a bunch of losers in the United States. Jon Merz amazingly, is no longer one. He is going to Australia, perhaps the coolest continent. He's going to play music for old people on one of those floating city boats. He's also grown an exquisite mustache. His coolness is far reaching now. Can you feel it in Thailand? He hardly has time for me anymore.
I quit my job I got not too long ago. I am currently finishing out my last 4 days here. There are several reasons for leaving, most important being the excruciatingly boring days I have had here. In addition, there are no windows in my vicinity. I often go hours without seeing the sun, and there is something fundamentally wrong with that. Of course I would never leave a job because of those reasons alone. That would be (!) irresponsible. So instead, I got another job, and this time there will be windows. And it won't be so boring. It's with Katee's family, flying planes and taking names. I suppose I will lose benefits, like healthcare and 401K, but I am satisfied with this girlfriend benefit that's provided at my new place. When September rolls around, I will be jobless again hoping and praying that my funds will stretch all the way out west. Shortly after that point, we should cross paths and live life together. Great, I'll see you there.
I need to go to Carbondale. I left all my shorts down there. Maybe I'll just buy more....Carhartt (!) shorts.
I hope you have appreciated my use of punctuation.
Does it confuse your schoolchildren when you teach them things like that? Is it against the rules to make up silly words for things? Or call cats dogs and dogs zebras? Maybe I should go teach english in a faraway place.
And just so you know, it's a high of 67 degrees Fahrenheit with a 70% chance of thunderstorms, gas costs $4.20 a gallon and I've written this comment for the last 45 minutes because I have nothing better to do!
LOVE, kisses, and kittens
Aidan
